The Canon T2i Is The Best DSLR Camera For The Money

After exhaustive research, we can honestly tell you that the Canon T2i is absolutely the best value for your money. You cannot go wrong by getting this camera. You simply cannot.

With that said, we would like to offer a couple of suggestions.

First, consider getting the body only and buying either a first rate prime lens (e.g. the Canon EF 50mm f/1.8) or a good lens from a quality third-party manufacturer such as Tamron.

Second, we have no problem with you purchasing this camera online, but if you do, get the extended three-year warranty through Square Trade. If you get the extended warranty, and we recommend that you do, do a Google search for Square Trade promo codes and you might be able to get another 20-30% off the warranty.

Third, be prepared to buy an external microphone and a program called Dual Eyes if you will be shooting high-definition video with this camera. Although it is an amazing camera, it is not amazing at recording audio, so you need an external microphone and the software to synch it.

And that's pretty much it.

The Canon T2i allows you to take amazing digital photos and also allows you to shoot incredible high-definition footage. Like we said, you can't go wrong with buying this camera. 

A Good External Microphone

This is a decent microphone for the money and also comes with a ten-year warranty. It doesn't get much better than that.

You will also need a program called Dual Eyes to synch the audio to your video.
